YOB have unveiled a fully remixed and remastered version of Atma. Atma (Deluxe Version) sees Billy Barnett make the album volume-wide and monolithic in detail and space while keeping all of Jeff Olsen’s original amazing raw-punch production.

Originally released in 2011, Atma was YOB’s sixth full-length release, featuring just five songs spanning 55 minutes.

In a review written by Lars Gotrich for NPR, he referred to the album as an “incredibly spiritual doom metal record that explores the energy of self and its surroundings.”

He also went on to say “what’s most impressive, though, about Atma, is that as skilled as YOB is at the riff, that’s not the end goal. There is a wealth of soul that goes into every song.”

Atma (Deluxe Version) will be released on April 8, 2022 vis Relapse Records.

You can pre-order vinyl, CD and cassette versions from YOB’s Bandcamp. Relapse Records also has five different vinyl variants available, two of which are already sold out.
