My Vinyl Offering – Itarya Rosenburg

Itarya Rosenburg

In My Vinyl Offering, we get up close and personal with our favorite musicians and friends to find out the most cherished parts of their record collection. This time around we feature the collection of Itarya Rosenburg, vocalist for the Philadelphia based grunge-tinged punk band Low Dose.

The first record I ever bought with my own money was…

Sunny Day Real Estate – How It Feels to Be Something On

The record that made me want to make music was…

To sing, Disney’s the Little Mermaid. To play guitar / get into punk, Nirvana – Nevermind

The record I’ve played more than any other is…

Nirvana – In Utero

The record that always make me feel good is…

Otis Redding – Live at the Whiskey a Go Go

The record I turn to when I’m feeling down is…

Shannon Wright – Over the Sun

The record with my favorite cover art is…

Pixies – Surfer Rosa

The strangest LP I own is…

I don’t know about strange, cos like? But a record I was completely unaware of/stole from my boyfriend and am now obsessed with is created by an ex-Japanese porn star and is sexy as fuck – check it out – Ike Reiko “You Baby” – definitely unique and amazing.

The rarest LP I own is…

Also am not sure – have purchased some expensive records but don’t think about what they are worth now. Maybe a Nirvana promo LP or some of the clear Relapse vinyl?

The last LP I bought was…

The Hirs Collective – Second 100 Songs
